RoHS CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE DIRECTIVE (EU) 2015/863 RoHS/RoHS2/RoHS3 Restriction of Hazardous Substances
All products supplied by Electronic Interconnect comply with the EU Directives 2011/65/EU - RoHS (2) and (EU) 2015/863 - RoHS (3) on restrictions of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Electronic Interconnect further states that all products are RoHS compliant according to the latest directive effective July 19, 2019 and published as directive ((EU) 2015/863). This new directive adds 4 Phthalates onto to the original ten hazardous substances (shown below). Electronic Interconnect further states that there are no ROHS exemptions.
IPC Member
Electronic Interconnect has been a member of IPC – Association Connecting Electronic Industries for more than 25 years. IPC is a global trade association with more than 2,300 member companies. It is the only organization that brings together a wide variety of industry members such as designers, board manufacturers, assembly companies, suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers. In addition, Electronic Interconnect’s President and CEO, Mr. Pratish Patel, has earned the IPC Trainer certification.
UL Approved
Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. (UL) is an independent, not-for-profit product-safety testing and certification organization. UL has been testing products for more than 100 years and is recognized as a reputable conformity assessment provider internationally. EI’s materials have passed UL’s strict requirements for them to bear the UL logo. To ensure continued compliance with UL standards, UL representatives audit a manufacturer periodically. The UL representative typically checks random samples of the customer’s current production against the product description supplied by the engineer who originally evaluated the product. ITAR Registered
Electronic Interconnect is International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registered, which grants the right to manufacture qualified military products for export. Companies receiving this certification demonstrate that they have the knowledge and understanding to fully comply with the Arms Export Control Act (AECE) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations as well as have corporate procedures and controls in place to ensure compliance. Meeting ITAR requirements implies that Electronic Interconnect has met standards pertaining to organizational structure, documentation, and corporate policy and training.
IPC-A-600 TRAINER CERTIFICATION
Electronic Interconnect pleased to announce that our head of quality assurance, Mr. Rajani Patel, has successfully completed the IPC-A-600 (Acceptability of Printed Boards) course and is now designated as “Certified IPC Trainer." The IPC-A-600 Training and Certification Program establishes the important relationship between the IPC-A-600 and IPC-6012 standards.
Surface Mount Technology Association
The SMTA membership is an international network of professionals who build skills, share practical experience, and develop solutions in electronic assembly technologies, including microsystems, emerging technologies, and related business operations. The president of Electronic Interconnect, Mr. Pratish Patel, has recently been appointed Technical Director of the Great Lakes Chapter of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA). In this position, he will direct the 140-member chapter's technical programs.
Illinois Pollution Prevention Award
Electronic Interconnect (EI) is the recipient of the Illinois Governor's Pollution Prevention Awards (P2) for 2007. To win the award, Electronic Interconnect had to satisfy stringent evaluation criteria applied to their implementation of P2 projects/technologies. These multiple criteria including waste volume/toxicity Reduction; economic benefits; raw material, labor, energy, water, and disposal cost savings; etc.
